Overbrook Farm Dispersal
Founded in 1972 by W. T. Young, Overbrook Farm catapulted from its inception to world renowned in near record time. By the mid-1990s, Overbrook horses had won each of the American Classiss – the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont, as well as significant wins in Breeders’ Cup Championship races. Additionally, Overbrook Farm itself had been honored with the Eclipse Award as Leading Breeder, and the farm was home to one of the world’s premier stallions, Storm Cat.

Young’s success was no accident.  His plan was based on sound business principles that were fueled by determination and a focus on the “big” picture.  Key to his plan were shrewd bloodstock purchases that reaped generous rewards.  Those mares, represented now by daughters and granddaughters, are reflected in pedigrees of the yearlings offered in the upcoming September Sales and the broodmares, weanlings, and racing prospects to be offered this November at Keeneland.
